Roger Louis Morgan

Roger Louis Morgan, 53, went home to be with our Lord Friday, September 25, 2015.

He was born April 19, 1962 in Staunton, Virginia to the late Robert Lee and Francis Elizabeth Jenkins Morgan.

Roger graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Valley Vo-Tech in Masonry and attended Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth University.

He retired from the Department of Corrections after 29 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Thor.

Roger is survived by four siblings, Robert Lee Morgan Jr. (Elaine), Thomas Edward Morgan of San Diego, CA, Angela Louise Morgan Crawford (David) of Stuarts Draft, and Teresa Morgan McFadden (Roscoe) of Roanoke, seven nieces and nephews, a special friend, Sherry Berkley, and a great niece Alani Haston.

He was an avid gun lover.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Augusta Street United Methodist Church, 325 N. Augusta Street, Staunton, VA.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA and other times at the home of David and Angela Crawford, 31 Jester Court, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477.
