Hoy Family, I was so sad to hear of Natalie's passing. I will always love her for the kindness she showed me, when I first moved to Waynesboro. She was my very first Visiting Teacher. She taught me that VT is more than just visiting someone - that you also become that person's friend. At that time she was one of my only friends and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
There are very few times that I go VT that I don't think of her. She was an amazing, kind and loving sister. She will be missed! I pray that you will receive the comfort at this time, that only our Lord Jesus Christ can give.

Sure am sad to hear that your wife/mom has passed away. She was always so sweet to me. I'll always remember when Chris & I were getting ready to leave y'alls house for Utah - she said to us, "You boys be sure to wear your seat-belts." To which Chris said, "Mom, we promise to wear our seat belts if you promise that you won't worry about us." Her reply, "Oh Christopher!" - the face she made was priceless.
I am grateful for my association with your family. God bless you all with the comfort that you seek.

I've known Sister Hoy all of my life. She was kind of quiet, and I am very quiet, especially when I was growing up. So, needless to say, we never had lengthy conversations. But I felt like I knew her. Upon reflection, I knew her because I knew her children--particularly Natasha, Matthew, and Jennifer. Natasha and I were in the same grade growing up. When you see somebody almost everyday, you sometimes take for granted how special he or she is. And Natasha is a very kind and warm soul--just like her mother. As a teenage boy, I didn't have the maturity to see that, but I see it clearly now. Matthew is a few years older than me, so I've always looked up to his example. His decision to serve a mission greatly impressed me as a teenage boy. Watching him serve as Bishop has also been inspirational to me. Jennifer has always been very kind to my young family, just as Natalie was kind to our family when we were just a stone's throw away in Lyndhurst. My wife thinks the world of Jennifer, and our ward is blessed to have her talents and her loving heart. I didn't know Christopher very well, but from what I have heard, he has also been shaped by a good mother.

A mother's finest reward is knowing she has reared good children, and Natalie's reward is truly great.

I'm sorry that I've gone on for so long, but I also want to express my condolences to Bobby. He is one of my heroes, and I want him to know that the Lord is there for him.

Matt and family, I am so sorry about yours Mothers passing. I met your father but never got to meet her but know that she must have been a loving and caring person to raise a son who cares so much for others. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your whole family. Please let your dad know I am thinking of him at this time also. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
