Martha Virginia Braden

Martha Virginia Braden, 63, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Augusta Health.  She was born February 1, 1953 in Waynesboro, daughter of the late A. Lee Braden and Rosetta Bragg Braden.

She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Blue Ridge Community College. She was a Supervisor and had been with Vector Industries for 24 years and G. K. Facilities until her illness.

Martha was a member of Oak Hill united Methodist Church and attended Edward Avenue Baptist Church.  She was a friend to all, in particular those with disabilities and she loved to organize trips for groups and her family.  She was a Lifetime Member of the Auxiliary of the Waynesboro First Aid Crew

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Stuart Braden.

Survivors include her sisters, Wanda and Norma Lee Braden, Celia (CeCe) McCormick and husband, Danny; nieces, Danielle McCormick and Whitney McCormick and fiancé, Robbie Dean and special great nephew, Ryan Edward Dean; special aunt, Esther Roach, uncle, Frank Bragg and wife, Gerry, aunt, Virginia Bragg, uncle, Eddie Campbell and numerous cousins and special friends, Anne Good and Mary Dillard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 29, 2016 in the chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, conducted by Pastor Gary May.  Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 28, 2016.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Auxiliary Waynesboro First Aid Crew, P. O. Box 1644, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
