JoAnne Swortzel Cash

JoAnne Swortzel Cash, 63, of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Augusta Health, surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 17, 1951, in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late Howard Eugene Swortzel and Nellie Mae Pleasants Swortzel.

She is survived by her son, Chris Cash and wife, Amy of Stuarts Draft; her brother, Randy Swortzel and wife, Cris of Waynesboro and two grandsons, Blake and Landon.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Crimora United Methodist Church, 1691 New Hope & Crimora Road, Crimora, Virginia 24431, conducted by Shannon Swortzel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center, 1001 Mt. Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, VA 22952, or to the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., 691 Battlefield Road, Fort Defiance, VA 24437.
