I only learned of Homers passing today on my visit to the Walmart. While I worked there he was always good conversation and a smiling face. I will miss him

So sorry to hear of the passing of Homer.I remember Homer from working at Stanley Furniture, (Basic Witz) always on the go & friendly as he bussed past you. My Dad Orsby Madison was also one of the older ones that worked there for years. Homer ,sure you are in heaven running circles around everybody. Rest in Peace Homer.

I started working with Homer at Stanley Furniture in maintenance in 1983 when I was just 17. Homer welcomed me there with open arms and we instantly became friends. He was not only a friend but also a mentor. He would stick up for me no matter what and kick my butt if I needed that. We remained good friends after the factory closed and whenever or wherever I saw Homer we talked about a little of everything. I feel like I know his whole family because he talked about each one with such pride. He sure did love his family and if you were his friend he let you know that as well. Homer will be sadly missed by all.

WORKING WITH HOMER AT WAL-MART WAS A JOY. WE ALWAYS LAUGHED TOGETHER WHEN WE TALKED ABOUT HIM BEING A SPEED DEMON. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISS BY EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS ALIKE. I SAW HIM AT AUGUSTA HEALTH IN THE ER WHERE I AM EMPLOYED NOW AND HE WAS THE SAME OLD HOMER. MAY GOD HOLD EACH FAMILY MEMBER IN THE PALM OF HIS MIGHTY HAND IN THE DIFFICULT TIME. NOW YOU CAN GO AS FAST AS YOU WANT MY FRIEND FLY HIGH.
