Dorothy Lynn "Dottie" Baker

Dorothy Lynn “Dottie” Baker, 47, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Fishersville.

She was born in Staunton on November 13, 1968.

Dottie was involved in the Area 5 Special Olympics for 23 years.

She is survived by her loving parents, Walter Curtis Hall and Frances A. Hall of Staunton; her brother, Danny Ray Hall and friend, Terri Belcher of Waynesboro; special friend, Freda Kirby; special friends, Wayne and Mary Ann Hite of Staunton, Patrick, Kari, Alex and Ainsley, Jackie Parr and her long time special friend of 26 years, John Ozygowski.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 297 Zion Church Road, Waynesboro, VA 22980 and where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am conducted by The Rev. Interment to follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Wayne Hite, Eddie Davis, Bill Martin, Dennis Davis, Connard Howdyshell and Patrick Hite.  Honorary pallbearers will be her Special Olympics Friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Special Olympics Virginia – Area 5, P O Box 1381, Waynesboro, VA 22980 or Zion Lutheran Church.
