William "Bill" J. White

William “Bill” J. White, 82, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2024 at River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Waynesboro. He was born in Richmond on May 29, 1942, a son of the late Sam and Eunice C. White.

William received his bachelor’s degree from Colombia Bible College. He later taught Bible in many schools and in 1965 until his retirement in 2013 was the managing director of Grace Bible Camp in Goshen. William was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Covington and most recently attended Wayside Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bobby” White.

Survivors include  his loving wife of 46 years, Vickie White; daughters, Elisabeth Smith and husband, Jarrett of Monroe, NC, and Rebekah Surface and husband, Adam of Waynesboro; grandchildren: Amelia and Alice Smith and Raylan and Brinley Surface.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 3pm until 5pm at Wayside Baptist Church, 45 Turk Mountain Ln, Waynesboro.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
