William Allan Slaughter, 70, of Fishersville, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021. He was born April 23, 1951 in Dover, New Jersey, the son of the late William Arthur Slaughter and Irma Frances Slaughter.
Allan completed two years of college and was a Master Auto Mechanic with Rick’s Service Center, Kent Island, Maryland. He was a Corporal in the U. S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was an NRA Member and was involved in Motor Sports. Among his interests were bird watching, gardening, marksmanship and he enjoyed taking care of stray cats. He had a strong interest in national and local politics.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jean Slaughter; his two daughters, Robin Bedford (Jimmy) and Melissa Doney (Tony); his six grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Peters and Elizabeth Fach and his nieces and nephews, Lauren Fach, Andrew Fach, Rebecca Peters and Christopher Peters.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contribution to local animal shelters.
There will be no formal services.
