Waymon Ferrier

Waymon Ferrier, 96, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Accordius of Waynesboro, surrounded by family.  He was born September 9, 1923 in Louisiana, a son of the late William Hiram Ferrier and Rosa Lee Oglesby Ferrier.

Waymon has been retired for many years and he was a member of West Waynesboro Church of Christ.  As a Navy Petty Officer Second Class, he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific aboard the USS Regent.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jane Dodd Ferrier and his daughter, Deborah Ferrier.

Survivors include his son, Gregory Ferrier and wife, Kathy of Middleboro, Massachusetts; his two brothers, Bill Ferrier and wife, Patsy of Waynesboro and L. G. Ferrier and wife, Lori of Waynesboro; his four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 A. M., Monday, March 2, 2020 at Augusta Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, with Pastor Chad Grondin officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery for the service.
