Walter Curtis Hall, 88, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing in Waynesboro. He was born in Goochland County on April 9, 1938.
Walter worked as a Mechanic with Wilson Trucking for 25 years until he retired in 2003. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and assisted with the Special Olympics. Farming and working on machinery were a few of his favorite hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances A. Hall; daughter, Dottie Lynn Baker, and brother, H.W. Wes Gray.
Survivors include his very special son, Danny Ray Hall of Waynesboro; his friend, Terri Belcher; sister-in-law, Marian L. Gray of Thaxton and special friend, Jackie Parr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, with Pastor Wesley Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
