Wallace Ray Harris

Wallace Ray Harris, 61, of Lyndhurst, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at his home.

He was born November 3, 1958 in Beaverdam, Virginia to the late Charley Louis Harris and the late Ruby Ann Legay.

He was a member of Lyndhurst Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Wallace will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Wonda, Willamina and several other sister and brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Doris L. Harris; children, Deloris Ann Gobie and her husband, Mark Gobie, David Ray Harris and his wife, Phyllis and Dorothy Lee Harris; grandchildren, Ashley, Ruby, Robert, Lorraine, Theresa, Caitlynn, Amber and David, Jr.; brothers, Warren, William, Worchester and Waverly and sisters, Windy and Wilma.

He leaves numerous other loving family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the hospice nurses, members of the church, the staff at Shenandoah House and Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday. March 14, 2020 at Lyndhurst Methodist Church, 2835 Lyndhurst Road, Lyndhurst, Virginia 22952.
