Virginia Blankenship Obituary

Virginia Tolley Hoyle Blankenship, 92, died at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fishersville on December 30, 2022. Virginia was a native to Rockbridge County and moved to Staunton in the 1960s. Virginia provided bookkeeping and tax preparation services, as well as operated a framing studio and art gallery for many years.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carla, and was the last surviving member of her family.

A stoic and private person who led a simple life, Virginia lived independently in her own apartment until mid-November, 2022.

At her direction, there will not be any services and her body has been donated to medical science.
