Thomas James Miller, Jr.

Thomas James Miller, Jr., 63, of Waynesboro, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA. He was born in Cherry Point, NC, on June 20, 1960, a son of Thomas James, Sr. and Mary Ann (Grafe) Miller.

Thomas graduated from Richland High School in 1978 and received his bachelors degree in nursing from Conemaugh School of Nursing. He worked as registered nurse for a number of hospitals including as a emergency nurse at Lee Hospital.  Thomas left his nursing career and was most recently worked as a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Charlottesville, VA.  In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed playing golf and hunting. He will be remembered for being a hard worker and a dedicated employee.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; children, Michele Cauffield and husband, David and Randy Miller; granddaughter, Saige Miller; sisters: Christina Hunter and husband, Daniel, Lorraine McCabe and husband, Mark, and Joanne Miller; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins , and extended family and friends.

Following cremation, a private burial service will be held in Johnstown, PA.
