Theodore "Ted" Garrison, Jr.

Theodore “Ted” Garrison Jr. passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026. He was 79 years old. Born in Walden, NY on December 18 1946 to the late Helen and Theodore Garrison Sr., Ted was the youngest of three children. After high school he enlisted in the Army and served in Turkey and Germany.  

Ted married Mary Glorie on December 28, 1968 and they had two children, Kerri Garrison and Theodore (Lois) Garrison III. Ted is survived by his wife and children; his sister, Louise; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ted and Mary loved to travel, living in Germany after their wedding and then returning to live in New York until they moved to Virginia. Together Ted and Mary traveled by camper to 49 of the 50 United States and went to Hawaii in 2019 to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and completed their “50 States in 50 years”. Ted served as a leader of the Wallkill Bluebirds 4-H club for many years. Ever the handyman, Ted could fix almost anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors.

Memorials of remembrance can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

There will be no public service.
