Theodore M. "Ted" Crawford

Theodore M. “Ted” Crawford, 89, of Waynesboro, passed from this life at Augusta Health on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was born in Rockingham County on March 30, 1936, a son of the late Ida Reecey (Crawford) Marshall.

 He graduated from Waynesboro High School Class of 1955. Ted was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served from 1958 until 1961. He retired from E.I. DuPont after 35 years of service. Ted was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, William Delmar Marshall; brother, William “Billy” D. Marshall, Jr.; brother-in-law, Leonard Lee Brydge;  and nephew, David J. Marshall .

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helene Hodge Crawford; two nephews, W. Daniel Marshall (Kathy) and Darrell Marshall; sister-in-law, Jean H. Brydge.

Following a private burial at Augusta Memorial Park, a memorial service will be conducted at 3pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Second Presbyterian Church, 133 N. Delphine Ave, Waynesboro, with The Rev. Dr. Amy Fetterman officiating.

Friends are welcome to visit the family home at other times.
