Terry Ann (Derrow) Shook

Terry Ann Derrow Shook, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026.  She was born on July 27, 1945 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, a daughter of the late Russell Howard Derrow and the late Treva Florence (Shirkey) Derrow.

Terry was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School. She was retired and had been employed by Griffin Bag Company, Rockingham Memorial Hospital and Danone during her career. Terry grew up in the Washington Street Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg during the pastorate of Pastor E. J. Kite and Dessie Kite.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Derrow and Raymond Derrow; her sisters, Elaine Armentrout, Lillian Elyard, Patricia Campbell, Naomi Comer, Florine Taylor and Ellen Virginia Derrow; her nephew, Donald Derrow, who was raised in the home.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Shook; her two sons, Wayne Shook and his wife, Julie Shook and Charles Shook and his wife, Joann Shook; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There are no services planned at this time.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Terry’s memory to the  Hospice of the Shenandoah c/o  the Augusta Health Foundation.

The family is being served by the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, Fishersville, Virginia.
