Teresa Fisher Jones

Teresa Fisher Jones, 58, of Stuarts Draft, gained her wings on Friday, June 14, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones after battling lung cancer. She was born in Waynesboro on June 6, 1966, a daughter of the late Roy “Pudgy” Fisher and Linda Fisher Alstock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven “Monkey” Jones.

Survivors include her son, Franklin Scott Fisher; grandchildren, Taylor “Bug” Brooke Fisher and Peyton ElliJah Mays; as well as many extended family and friends, who she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Ray Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Following the service, the family would like to welcome everyone to Teresa’s home for a time of memories and fellowship.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home to help Teresa’s family with funeral expense.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all Teresa’s caregivers, the ICU staff with UVA Hospital, Hospice of the Piedmont, and her best friend, Brandi Jones and husband, Lucas for their loving care of Teresa and her family.
