Teresa Anita (Curry) Diggs

Teresa Anita (Curry) Diggs, 65, of Grottoes, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in Charlottesville.

Teresa was born on Friday, October 25, 1957 in Waynesboro to Wardell Curry and Juanita (Leitch) Curry. She graduated from Fort Defiance High School with the class of 1975. Teresa married Major Diggs on August 2, 1980, and spent 42 years together. She worked as an associate for Kohls from 2007 until she retired in 2022. Teresa loved watching her nephews on TV and spoiling her grandsons. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time. 

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Wardell Curry and grandparents; Howard and Leola Casey, Eugenia Cunningham, and Blanche Brown.
 

She is survived by her husband, Major Diggs; daughter, Jasmine Stewart (Daniel) of Crimora, VA; siblings: Brenda Curry of Charlotte, NC, Jackie Curry of Charlotte, NC, Melinda Banks of Waynesboro, VA, and Dell Curry of Charlotte NC; mother, Juanita Curry; grandsons, Caedan Good and Wesley Stewart; nieces and nephews: Brandon Curry, Justin Clarke, Stephen Curry, Brittany Dabney, Seth Curry, Eric Lynch, Sydel Curry-Lee; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Per Teresa’s wishes no services will be held.
