Stella Louise Tomlinson

Stella Louise Tomlinson, 67, of Staunton, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab surrounded by her family. She was born in Mexico, MS on January 22, 1955, a daughter of the late William Henry and Dorothy (Nosset) Skinner.

Stella worked as a housekeeper at the Liberty House and also was employed by Wal-Mart in Waynesboro. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles William Lowery.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 29 years, David Shawn Tomlinson;  two sons, Charles “Dubbey” Lowery, II ( Hope) and Cole Tomlinson; three daughters:, Amanda Williams (Steve), Ashleigh Tomlinson (Brian), and Tammy Maxey (Jason); 12  grandchildren: Jareth, Cecil, Benjamin, Jacob, Scottie, Chad, Tristan, Kristina, Trip, Destiny, Mackenzie, and Hazel; numerous great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Terry Underwood; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stella’s memory to Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center, 1001 Mt. Torrey Rd. Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
