Shirley Ann (Caricofe) Truslow Parrish ,81,of New Hope, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Augusta Health. She was born on August 19, 1940, a daughter of the late James and Maguire ( Mitts) Caricofe.
Shirley worked as a manager of Subway until she was disabled in 1992. She was a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother; she was the back bone of her family. She greatly enjoyed driving around town.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Huffman.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Marvin Bedford Parrish; two sons, Charles Truslow, Jr. and David J. Brooks and wife, Debbie; daughters, Candy Brooks and partner, Danny Cavin, and Judy Cash and husband, Gary “Rocky”; brother, Carl Caricofe and wife, Paulie; sister, Betty Selmon; grandchildren: Kevin Brooks, Charles Brooks, Cassie Sutton, Jimmy Floyd, Crystal Bennett, Charles Truslow III, Steve Truslow, and Jason Truslow; great grandchildren: Logan Brooks, C.J. Brooks, Chloe Floyd, Mercedes Bennett, Matthew Thompson, and Carson Truslow.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to please meet at the cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
