Shirley Coleman Hays, 84, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 7, 2023 in Fishersville. She was born October 11, 1938, daughter of the late John Coleman and Dolly Coleman.
Shirley was employed at Western State Hospital. She enjoyed bird watching, conversations, cooking and canning foods.
The family would like express their sincere appreciation to Augusta Health – Hospice of the Shenandoah and the Shenandoah House.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Hays; three sisters, Maxine Ives, Mary Farris and Louise Morgan and two brothers, Bobby Coleman and Harry Coleman.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Hays; her granddaughter, Rebecca Hite and a brother, Henry Coleman, of Buena Vista.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Grant Family Cemetery, 6907 Irish Creek Rd., (Rt. 603) Vesuvius, VA 24483, with Pastor Kim Byrd officiating.
