Shirley Ann Fralin, 84, of Crimora, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Crimora on March 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Sidney Allen and Mary Hazel (Claytor) McCauley.
Shirley was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. She greatly enjoyed animals, cooking, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Leonard Fralin, Jr.; brother, James A. McCauley and Jerry W. McCauley; son-in-law, Bart M. Frazier.
Survivors include her sons, Barry Fralin and wife,Wanda and Leonard Fralin and wife, Brenda; daughters, Jeanette McGarry and husband, Dennis, Lisa Moran and husband, Jerry, and Christa Fraizer; 10 grandchildern; six great-grandchildern; sister, Phyllis Jesielowski; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and friends. Shirley also leaves behind her beloved pet, Bentley.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Todd Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300,Charlottesville, VA 22911 and/ or the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services, 1001 Mt Torrey Rd, Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
