Obituary

Sheldon N. Pritchard, age 56, of Greenville passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Augusta Health Center, Fishersville.

He was born on December 30, 1963 in Tallahassee, Florida, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Sheldon received his Associates Degree in Arts & Science.

He was employed with Dyncorp International as a Power Plant Technician in the United Arab Emirates for the past 8 years.

Sheldon served in the U.S. Army for 3 years in the Military Police and earned the rank of Sergeant/E5. He also served with the Army Reserves in Iraq and received the Army achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

He was preceded in death by his step-father Robert Maddy, and his grandparents Wallace and Agnes Lotts

He is survived by his mother Charlotte Maddy of Dobson, NC, brother Ashley Pritchard of Huntsville, AL and brother Jonathan Maddy of Sylva, NC; uncle Robert Lotts of Staunton, VA; uncle Kenny VanHoose and Aunt Virginia Vanhoose of Crimora, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
