Sharon Ann (Wade) Wilson

Sharon Ann Wade Wilson, 80, of Waynesboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Augusta Health, Fishersville.  She was born in Charlottesville on April 26, 1942, daughter of the late Ballard Francis Wade, Sr. and Effie Virginia Lilley Wade.

Sharon looked forward to reuniting with her husband, Michael Wilson, who went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2020 and her infant son.  Additionally she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ballard F. Wade, Jr. and Robert Britt.

She attended Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Mission Group.  Sharon was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with many years of service.

Survivors include her daughter, Melanie Abbott and husband, Matt of Fishersville; her son, Anthony (Tony) Morris and his wife, Amy of Waynesboro; her sister, Jean Ramey of Waynesboro and her brother, Larry Wade of Waynesboro.  Seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 A. M., Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, 901 Shenandoah Ave., Waynesboro with Dr. Paul F. LePrevotte and Pastor Allen George officiating.  Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in her memory to The Gideons International, East Augusta Camp, PO Box 715, Waynesboro,. VA 22980.
