Sarah George Hall, 71, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019 surrounded by her family at Shenandoah House.
She was born on November 25, 1947 in Hot Springs to the late Noah and Mary (Odell) George.
Sarah was an independent hair dresser for many years, a CNA and most recently she was employed at The Homestead Resort where she retired in 2016. She was a member of Eden United Methodist Church in Hot Springs. She enjoyed crafts, friends and family gatherings.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the physicians and staff at Augusta Health and the Hospice of the Shenandoah.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey and Bill; sister, Elsie Marie; her extended family; Claude and Ruby Broce, Charlie Broce, Grayson Broce, Amy (Broce) Buettner and Janet (Broce) Holloway.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Peters of Verona; her son, Justin Peters and his daughter, Avery of Stuarts Draft; brothers, Danny George and his wife, Cordia of Staunton, David George and his wife, Becky of Millboro; sister-in-law, Sue George of Staunton; her extended family, Claudia (Broce) McAllister and her husband, Eddie of Hot Springs, Reid Broce and his wife, Katie of Richmond, Shirley Broce of Florida. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, her dear friends and caregivers, Robert and Ann Young.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Eden United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
