Rudolph “Danny” Henson, 64, of Waynesboro, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born March 30, 1958 in Buena Vista to the late Rudy D. Henson and Eunice Lee Coleman Henson.
Danny was employed at Wayn-Tex for many years. A sports fanatic, he was an avid fan of the Washington Commanders and the WWE.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Lewis Henson; his sister, Dorothy Mae White and his brother, Earl “Butchie” Henson; three brothers-in-law, Frank Lewis, Ronnie Clements and Freddie Catlett.
He is survived by his two daughters, Danielle Henson and Christina Lewis, both of Waynesboro; his grandsons, Kheandre Jackson, and his fiancé, Gracie Word and Jalen Jackson and his girlfriend, Brooklynn Wilhelm; his siblings, Robert Henson, Thelma Henson and Barbara Ann Catlett all of Buena Vista, Mary Jane Sirucek, and husband Dan of Kalispell, Montana, Eidth Puryear of Buena Vista, Betty Jarvis and husband , Bruce of Rocky Mount and Bonnie Clements of West Virginia; one sister-in-law, Lucille Karicofe and husband, Jeff of Verona; three brothers-in-law, Troy Lewis and wife Katie of Wichita Falls, Texa, Jimmy Reed and wife Tammy of Nelson Co and Charles White of Glasgow and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Sherlynd Baptist Church, 20 Winterview Lane, Lyndhurst, conducted by Pastor Allen George.
