Robert Ferrell Fisher, 88, of Fishersville, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born in Waynesboro on May 4, 1933 a son of the late John Lee and Grace (Bailey) Fisher.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army. He attended Central Point Christian Church. Robert greatly enjoyed watching baseball games and cheering on his favorite teams, the Baltimore Oriels and Washington Nationals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi C. Fisher; step-son, Jerry Jackson; brother, Vance Fisher; sister, Marie Marshall; and daughter-in-law, Donna Fisher.
Survivors include his four sons: Ronnie Fisher of Lyndhurst, Tim Fisher (Sharon) of Charlottesville, Randy Fisher of Waynesboro, and Mickey Fisher of Waynesboro; one daughter, Chris Fisher of Waynesboro; two sisters, Ida Morris and Violet Marshall; seven grandchildren, Eric, Greg, Nathan, Scottie, Jason, Becca, and Miranda; several great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; special friend, Rebecca Kovacic; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro with Pastor Gary May officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert’s memory to WARM, 135 Fairfax Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
