Richard (Dick) H. Graham Jr., age 82, of Fishersville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Fishersville.
Born on December 28, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Richard H. Graham Sr. and Isabel W. Graham. Dick was MBA educated and held a CPA designation; working primarily in the healthcare field, finishing his career with 18 years of service as Chief Executive Officer of Augusta Medical Center until his retirement in 2008. In addition to his civilian career, he proudly served his country in the military, with over 20 years of combined service between active duty with the U.S. Army and Reserves, retiring as a Major. Dick had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed travel, deep-sea diving, kayaking, riding motorcycles, and playing golf with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, David. He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis, his sons, Mark and Wes, and several grandchildren.
The family expresses special thanks to each employee who worked with Dick during his 18 years as CEO of Augusta Medical Center, as well as all the men and women who served alongside him during his military service and all who have and continue to serve and protect this great country.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, Virginia.
