Richard White

Richard White, 78, of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born February 15, 1946, in Waynesboro, the son of the late Russell Lee White, Sr. and the late Flora Ellie Eaves White.

Mr. White was a graduate of Rosenwald High School, Waynesboro and was Valedictorian for the graduating class of June 3, 1964.  For many years he was a Sales Representative with Blue Ridge Phones and Security and he served in the U. S. Air Force from 1968 to 1971.  Model cars, Jazz music and Basketball were among his interests and he loved Clearwater, Florida.

He was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 427 Cattle Scales Rd, Waynesboro VA 22980. He had been a member for 52 years at the time of his passing 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry White, Charles White and Russell White, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Patricia White; his two daughters and two sons, Tiffani Hatcher,  (Kevin) and Lindsay Thomas, ( Michael), Ryan White (Latrice)and Brad White (Linnea); his eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his two sisters, Rosa Talley of Staunton and Joan Vandrip of Brentwood, Tennessee and a host of nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00pm, Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville.
