Prentice "Pete" Brown Morris, Jr.

Prentice “Pete” Brown Morris, Jr., 61, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was born in Greene County on September 29, 1964, a son of the late Prentice Brown Morris, Sr. and Helen Shifflett.

Pete worked as a farmhand. He loved playing corn hole and hanging out with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Morris; step children, Buck Shifflett, Sandy Morris, and Diane Morris; grandchildren, Bianca Morris and Charles “Junior” Shifflett; siblings, Sandra Huff, Patty Lamb, and Kenneth Huff; and a special friend, Sharon Drumheller.

Survivors include his son, Jesus Morris; step children, Tracey Morris and Connie Verastegui; his grandchildren, Tracey Drumheller, Cindy Hall, Beronica Becerra, Alisia Becerra, Angelica Becerra, Anarosa Becerra, Ricardo Becerra, Stephanie Morris, Marisela Baeza, McCoy Loya, Jesus Morris, Glen Morris, and Briggs Morris; as well as  lots of great grandchildren; especially Lupe Morris and Luis Reyes, who were very special to him; his siblings, Cindy Morris, Glen Morris, Pamela Gentry, Janette Gentry, Shelby Morris, Faye Gentry, Ricky Shifflett, and Geraldine Roach and well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Following cremation, there will be no formal services.
