Patricia Dorothy Holmes

Patricia Dorothy Holmes, 73, of Fishersville, VA, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Augusta Health.

Pat was born March 22, 1946 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pennridge High School and worked in various business, clerical and hospitality positions. In later life, Pat was devoted to her granddaughter who became her daughter in 2008, Willow Holmes.  Willow was the light of her life.

Pat was an active member of Fishersville United Methodist Church, where she served as financial secretary. She also was a member of the Waynesboro Ladies of the Moose.  She enjoyed line dancing and volunteering at her church. Pat especially enjoyed supporting Willow as stage mom and chauffer extraordinaire.

Pat is survived by her children, Christopher Detweiler (Jim Thorpe, PA), David Holmes (Waynesboro, VA), and Willow Holmes (Fishersville, VA); two sisters, Nancy Gradel (Ron) and Betty Pivnichny (Tom); five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and faithful friend Dennis Smith. Pat is preceded in death by her mother and father.

There will be a memorial service on Thursday, September 19 at 2:00 pm at Fishersville United Methodist Church.
