Noellene L. Hare

Noellene L. Hare, 71, of Stuarts Draft, passed away, Sunday, March 15, 2020, at her home.

She was born February 8, 1949 in Lynchburg, Virginia, daughter of the late Noel W. Hare and Doris Stewart Hare.

Noellene retired in 2011 with 42 years of service from AT&T and from Target Distribution where she worked in shipping and receiving. She was a member of Sherando United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed working in her yard and with her flowers and was a “brain” on crossword puzzles. She was talented at baking and cooking and, a whiz on fixing anything electrical.

The family would like to thank Augusta Health-Hospice of the Shenandoah, especially Mary Jeffrey, RN, for the kindness and care shown Noellene during her illness.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Newman.

Survivors include her sister, Emmy Rae Cassidy of Corpus Christi, Texas and her nieces and nephews, Ben and Sara Cassidy, Brandy Cassidy, Michelle (Joe) Kuntze, Scarlet Garcia, David Newman, Jr. and Clifford Kuntze.

God saw you were getting tired

and a cure was not to be.

So he put His arms around you

 and whispered, “Come to Me”.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands at rest

God broke our heart to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

At Noellene’s request there will be no formal services.
