Nelson Lee Crum, 82, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
He was born on September 2, 1938 in Swoope to the late Warren N. Crum and the late Christine W. Crum.
He was retired from DuPont as an Operator. He was a member of Fishersville United Methodist Church. He loved working on bicycles, tractors, collecting watches, camping and the beach.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty J. Miller and Linda K. Sparkman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth H. Crum; sons, Gary W. (Debbie) Crum and Mike L. (Sandra) Crum; grandchildren, Jason (Tayler) Crum, Jonathan Crum, Rebecca (Alex) Whitsell and Matthew Crum; great grandchildren; Mackson and Miller Crum.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville. (Those attending will be required to wear face mask and follow social distancing).
A graveside service will be held 11:00am on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro conducted by Rev. Dr. Gene Williams and Pastor Peter Choi.
