Mitchell “Mitch” Allan Fillman, 64, of Staunton, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born November 2, 1956 in Lancaster, PA to Jack Harris Fillman and Judith Linda Patton Fillman.
Mitchell graduated from North Penn High School and North Montco Technical Center in 1975. He was an auto-body, fender specialist, and truck driver. He was last employed by McKee Foods Transportation. Mitchell was family focused and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time outdoors and hunting with his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars with his family.
Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Judith Fillman, as well as his father-in-law George Edward Mahoney.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deby Fillman; his sons, Mitchell Allan Fillman II, and his wife, Nicole Fillman of Verona, VA, Matthew Scott Fillman and his wife, Elizabeth Wade Fillman of Glen Allen, VA; his sister, Melissah Ann Sweeney and her husband, Jeff Sweeney of Spring City, PA; mother-in-law, Josephine Florence Galluppi Mahoney; grandchildren, Maggie and Wyatt Fillman, both of Verona, VA, and Wade Fillman of Glen Allen, VA; his nephew, Ryan James Lennon and his wife, Katie Lennon of Emmaus, PA; grand-niece, Avery, and grand-nephew, Callan Lennon of Emmaus, PA; and his furry family, Koko, Shooter, JoDee, and several grand-dogs; and many special family members and friends.
The family will be receiving friends for a celebration of life Saturday, June 19 at 2:00 P.M. at the Augusta Woods Picnic Pavilion at 146 Augusta Woods Dr. Staunton, VA 24401.
