Melvin Ray Pace

Melvin Ray Pace, 78, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Augusta Health. He was born on May 31, 1948, a son of the late James Wilson and Mary Jane (Baber) Pace.

Melvin greatly enjoyed watching westerns, mysteries and reading. He was a constant flirt and will be remembered for his kindness towards everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James “J.R.” Pace; daughter, Donna Cash; grandson, Tyler Fisher; granddaughter, Cameron Pace, and siblings: Margaret Downs, Herman Pace, George Pace, and Mary James.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Ann (Lotts) Pace; daughters: Melissa Harouff, Rebecca Fisher (Nathan) and Toyna Owens (William Bollinger); brother, Charles “Buddy” Pace; grandchildren: Brittney Pace, David Owen, Jr., Jacob Owens, Dylan Johnson, Cheyenne Fisher, and Nathan Fisher, Jr.; three great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

Melvin also leaves behind his beloved dogs: Rocky, Jessie, Roscoe, Pepper, and Peanut.

Service will be held at a later date.
