Mary L. Ramsey

Mary L. Ramsey, 93, of Raphine, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at her home.  She was born in Greenville on January 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Harry Lucas and Ethel Harris.

Mary worked as a cook at Whites Truck Stop. She greatly enjoyed dancing and music. She will be remembered for being a great mother and will be sadly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. Ramsey  and great grandchild, Kimbly Harris.

Survivors include her children: Norma Fitzgerald of Raphine, David Ramsey and wife, Pam of Middlebrook, and Rose Phillips and husband, Jerry “Shorty” of Raphine; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Mary also leaves behind her special dog, Ziek.

 At Mary’s request, there will be no formal services.

Memorial donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Legacy Hospice, 14 Old Oaks Dr Suite 101, Fishersville, VA 22939

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff with Legacy Hospice for their loving care of Mary.
