Lorena Burress Jones

Lorena Burress Jones, of Verona and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Augusta Health - Shenandoah House in Fishersville, Virginia.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1960, the daughter of the late Dove and Lois Burress of Staunton.

Lorena is survived by her husband, Clarence Jones of Verona; her daughter, Gwendolyn Jones of Staunton; her brothers, Jerry Lovelady of Cheraw, South Carolina, and Thomas Burress of Greensboro, North Carolina.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews, an uncle, and her granddaughter.

Home Going Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, Virginia, conducted by Pastors Kevin and Melinda Gartske.
