Lillian Bayne Shiplett

Lillian Irene (Bayne) Shiplett, 77, of Staunton, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville. She was born in Staunton on May 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Ernest and Rebecca (Hinkle) Bayne.

Lillian attended Robert E. Lee High School. She worked as a parts inspector with Ge/Genicom until her retirement in 2007. Lillian greatly enjoyed crafts and helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Ernest Bayne, Jr., Roy Bayne, William Bayne, and Nancy Bayne.

Survivors include her son, Leon Shiplett and wife, Lanee; grandsons: Dustin Shiplett, Logan Shiplett and wife, Gina, and Kyle Shiplett and wife, Haley; great grandchildren: Lily Shiplett, Bentley, and Ryleigh Brower; brother, Henry Bayne; as well as extended family and friends.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to please meet at the cemetery.
