Larry Eldon Small

Larry Eldon Small, 71, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Augusta Health. He was born in Charlottesville on July 12, 1950, a son of the late Douglas Lewis, Sr. and Beulah Belle (Thompson) Small 

Larry proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a greeter at the Waynesboro Wal-Mart for eight years. He was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Lyndhurst, Virginia, Pastor Doug Cox. He greatly enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn, and playing his guitar. Larry never met a stranger and was a “ladies man”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kendall Small; grandson, Damian Milton; and three brothers, Donald Small, Ray Small, and Douglas Small, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda Lucille ( Taylor) Small; children, Corey Small and wife, Pam and Dana Milton; six grandchildren: Austin Small, Courtney Small, Andre Milton, Michael Small, Katelynn Graham, and Jarrett Small; six great grandchildren; special cousin, Renee Gibson; as well as extended family, friends, and neighbors.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Strickler officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Augusta Health, especially Dr.  Anastasia Snelling, and the staff at UVA Dialysis for their loving care of Larry and his family.
