Obituary

Kenneth Bruce Bahrs, Sr., of Staunton, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Mr. Bahrs was born on June 10, 1938 in Newark, NJ to the late Donald F. Bahrs and Adeline T. Bahrs.

Ken was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, and the American Legion. Ken’s career was in the Electronics Field. He was employed by The David Sarnoff Research Center (RCA) in Princeton, New Jersey where he worked in the communications laboratory. Ken held a Television Related Patent, and was also a member of the Electrical and Electronic Engineers. After retirement, Ken enjoyed working on his 1935 Ford. He was also a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Staunton/Waynesboro Region A.A.C.A.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christina Bahrs, whom he was married to for 52 years.

He leaves behind five children: Sheryl, Donald, Dale, Ken, Jr., and Pamela: as well as many grandchildren and extended family.

A graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
