Jeffrey B. "Bowdean" Brooks

Jeffrey B. "Bowdean" Brooks, 63, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Jeffrey was born on May 11, 1960 to the late Charlie S. Diggs, Jr. and the late Betty B. Diggs.

He was a 1979 graduate of Waynesboro High School and was a Taxicab Driver for Al’s Taxi.

Jeffrey loved playing bingo and gaming slots and Jeff’s favorite quote was “Great Day”.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles S. (Bone) Brooks.

Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Theotis H. Brooks; sister, Leslie B. Barbour and her husband, Alfred; nephews, Stanley T. Barbour and his wife, Jennifer and Tremaine T. Barbour and his wife, Katie; niece, Arleigh J. Barbour; aunts, Margaret Turner, Ruby Dillard, Bernice Jackson and her husband, Alvin and Allene Jackson and her husband, John.

The family extends a special thank you to his nurse, Lauren Gochenour, Augusta Health Shenandoah Hospice House and Cousin Patricia Flipping.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home and where a service will be held at 11:00am in the chapel, conducted by Pastor Sheldon Page.

Pallbearers will be Mike Eaves, John Turner, Andy Turner, Joseph Turner, Daniel Turner, David Turner and James Turner.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Waynesboro.
