Jean P. (Pierce) Shafiroff

Jean P. Shafiroff, 94, of Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026 in Fishersville, Virginia. Jean was born on Tuesday, January 5, 1932 in Holyhead, North Wales, Great Britain, to the late Isaac Emlyn Pierce and Anne B. Pierce.

She was quite a traveler, as well as being from Great Britain, she visited Australia and Canada and she lived in New York, California, Massachusetts and settled in Virginia. Jean will always be remembered for the kind and loving soul she was. She will also be remembered for her love and compassion for all animals. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Wade; her brothers, Emlyn Bentley Pierce and Richard Keith Pierce and his wife, Gloria Jean Pierce; and her stepfather, Robert S. Williams.

Jean’s survivors include her daughter and son, Elizabeth A. Moore (Lyndon) and Michael E. Davis (Sonja); her granddaughter, Megan B. Wade; her great-granddaughter, Cabria Elizabeth Feggans; her sister-in-law, Frances le Grove; her nephews, Kevin William Pierce (Pauline) of England and Robert Anthony Pierce (Sukanya) of Thailand.

Those who wish may make a donation to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, the Alzheimer’s Association or a local SPCA/animal rescue in honor of Jean P. Shafiroff.

 A celebration of life will held be at a later date.
