Jean Ann (Shifflet) Robinson

Jean Shifflet Robinson, 82, of Waynesboro and most recently of the Regency at Augusta in Fishersville, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1943, a daughter of the late George and Irene Shifflet.

Jean graduated from high school and attended business school and later worked as an insurance agent for Weaver Insurance. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, spending time outdoors, and being with her family during the holiday gatherings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Robinson and her brother, George Shifflet, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Frederick D. Coyner, Jr. and wife, Amy; two grandchildren Sydney and Andrew Coyner; as well as extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Almarode officiating.  Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Jamie Hodge, Dave Boylen, Brian Meyer, Jeff Organ, Jonathan Bryant, and Chino Figueroa.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Sutton, Timmy Meyer, Evan Brown and Matthew Harris.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Hospice of the Shenandoah c/o the Augusta Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939 or to the Augusta Regional SPCA, P.O. Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24401.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Regency at Augusta Assisted Living and Memory Care, to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah, Palliative and Transitional Care, and to Dr. Timothy Kokanovich for all the compassionate care of Jean.
