Jean Alberta Harris

Jean Alberta Harris, 85, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born in Waynesboro on May 17, 1939, a daughter of the late James Walker and Hallie Althea (Truslow) Harris.

Jean loved God and her family with all her heart and is home with her Lord.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Gil (Harris) Fitzgerald; grandson, Kristofer Hollis Harris.

Survivors include her sons, William Walker Harris, Sr. and wife, Kivi Jo and Robert Norman Harris; grandchildren: Kristi Dawn Harris, Kevin Michael Harris, William Walker Harris, Jr., and Brandyn Wayne Harris; 17 great grandchildren; nine siblings; her soul mate, Jesse Pugh; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 A private burial service will be conducted at a later date at Holly Hills Memorial Gardens, Middle River, Maryland.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, Fishersville, Virginia.
