Janice Irene (Sheehan) Grose

Janice Irene (Sheehan) Grose, 68, of Waynesboro, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Augusta Health. She was born in Harrisonburg on May 17, 1957, a daughter of the late George Patrick and Lorena Mae (Hartman) Sheehan.

Janice retired from Dupont/Koch. She enjoyed traveling to the beach to collect seashells, playing the slots, and watching westerns on TV. Janice will be remembered for her loving of telling stories and her witty personality. She loved her dogs Monkey, Hokie, Whick, Boggier, and Wiggles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie Sheehan and Mary Raines.

Survivors include her children: Tabby Small, Melissa Grose (Kenton Bryant) and Jerry Grose, Jr.; grandchildren: Patrick Brooks, Makaya Bryant, Austin Small, and Katelynn Graham; great grandchildren: Brentin, Adalynn, Kenleigh, and Bransyn Graham and Layla Glasgow; siblings, Pamela Sheehan (Dennie) and Patricia “Pat” Via; partner, Keith Norman; as well as extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Linville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5180 Kratzer Rd., Linville.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Grose, Jr., Kenton Bryant, Landon Byrant, Patrick Brooks, Austin Small,  Jay Ott , Burke Via, and Chucky Via.  

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
