James Simmons-McBeth

James Lewis Simmons-McBeth, 43, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2023, in Fishersville.

James was born September 8, 1979 in Bronx, New York to Keith Simmons and Sandy McBeth Tuitt.

He attended St. Augusta School of Arts until 1993. He graduated from Morris High School as an honor student.

He was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Staunton.

James played the saxophone and loved music of all kinds and his video games. He was the life of the party and he touched many including through his Podcast.

James was employed as a Manager and Driver for FedEx.

James is survived by his Wife of 9 yrs Jessica R. Darcus McBeth; his children, James McBeth Jr., Savyon Johnson and Javiel McBeth; Parents, Keith G. Simmons and Sandy M. McBeth Tuitt; In-laws, Walter E. Wallace and Pastor Sheila A. Wallace; Sister, Sandoria Tuitt; Nephews, Hanief and Jayden and other special family members Derrick Banks, Luis Andino and Richie Torres . 

He is preceded in death by a brother; Jamier K. Simmons, paternal grandparents, George and Pearl Simmons and maternal grandparents, Cora Mae and Walter McBeth Sr.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville and other times at 101 Fox Hill Drive, Staunton, VA 24401

A Home Going Celebration will be held 12pm on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Staunton conducted by Rev. Daniel Bond .The family is asking everyone to wear Blue in honor of James.

Pallbearers, Paul White, Darren McIntire, Luis Andino, Torrance Mack, Terrence Awkard, T-Shawn Scott, Sidney Scott and Jose A. Marrero.

Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton, VA.
