Irma Frances Slaughter, 93, of Fishersville, passed away Tuesday October 6, 2020, at her home. She was born December 6, 1926, in New Jersey, daughter of the late Alfred Roy Ainscow and Laura Frances Ainscow.
Mrs. Slaughter received her BA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her MA from Johns Hopkins University. She retired as a Librarian in Anne Arundel County, Maryland and was a former flight attendant for TWA.
She was a member of the Jack Jouett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the TWA Clipped Wings. Gardening, reading and traveling where among her varied interests.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Slaughter and her sister, Dorothy Jean Fort.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Jean Slaughter; her daughters, Barbara Peters and Elizabeth Fach; her grandchildren, Lauren Fach, Andrew Fach, Christopher Peters and Rebecca Peters and her nephew, David Fort.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery
