Howard L. Padgett, 86, of Crimora went to be in the arms of Jesus Wednesday evening, January 30, 2019, at his home. He was born in Waynesboro on August 15, 1932, son of the late Robert and Annie Ray Padgett.
Howard loved the Lord, never met a stranger and loved giving hugs and kisses to all the women. He was retired from ITT Continental and further worked with Super Save in Weyers Cave. Howard was a veteran of the U. S. Army and Air Force.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marie D. Padgett, who was the love of his life and by three sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna McVey, Kim Padgett and Melinda Higgs all of Crimora; grandchildren, Cylina, Miranda, Jessica, Cassie and her husband Kaleb and Megan and her husband, Matt; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Kamryn, Amber, Christopher, Gracie, Brenna, Maycee, Maddyx, Eli, Colt and Takoda; son-in-law, Jackie McVey and wife, Melissa of Waynesboro; special nephew, Ronnie Ellinger and wife Elaine of Waynesboro; special sister-in law and best friend, Isabell Ludwick of Crimora and his special fur baby, Misty Moonlight.

Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, February 4, 2019, at Harriston Christian Center, 107 Harriston Rd, Grottoes, VA 24441, conducted by Pastor Durwood Cowan. The family will receive friends, at the Center, Monday from 6:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
