Helen Wright Obituary

Helen Lee Wright, 87, of Waynesboro, Va., passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was born in Waynesboro on November 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Leonard L. and Gladys E. (Berry) Wright.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Paul D. Wright; son Anthony H. “Tony” Wright and sisters, Betty L. Wright, Peggy W. Quick, and Aubrey W. “ Jean” Hanger.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon W. Stoner of Fishersville, VA; a son, Paul J. “Joey” Wright (Laura) of Waynesboro, VA; a daughter, Melissa W. Smith of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren: Tabetha “Beth” Marshall, Jeremy Miller, Jacqueline M. Smith, Shawn Wright, Bradley and Ashley Leavell, Ryan and Whitney Smith; 15 great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
