Harry Isodse Durrett, Jr

Harry Isodse Durrett, Jr., 72, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his home. He was born in Charlottesville on February 5, 1953, a son of the late Harry Isodse and Elizabeth Tate Brooks Durrett.

Harry attended Waynesboro High School. He enjoyed watching baseball, playing horseshoes, listening to music and dancing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Dyer Durrett; sister, Katherine Elizabeth Winston Carter; sisters –in-law, Peggy Award and Pam Dyer and nephew, Charles “Tank” Award, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Dorothy Allan Lee and husband, Faye M. Lee of Maryland; nieces and nephews: Stephen Lee, Litisha Cokley, Justin Lee, JeRon Award, LeKisha Antwi, Kelly Blair, and Dale Blair Jr.; as well as extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at St. James Baptist Church, 1094 Albemarle Ave, Waynesboro, with Rev. Sheldon Page officiating.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to family and friends for the loving prayers and support during this difficult time.
